Aquilent, the recognized leading provider of Web-based solutions shaping the next generation of technology for the federal government, today announced that Mark Pietrasanta is a 2010 recipient of the Federal Computer Week Federal 100 Award, which annually acknowledges “individuals in government and industry who have played pivotal roles in the federal information technology community.”
“I am honored to be named among my peers as one of the FCW Federal 100 Winners,” stated Aquilent Chief Technology Officer, Mark Pietrasanta. “Aquilent is working to support our government clients in their efforts to achieve innovative and progressive change through visionary solutions that include cloud computing at the forefront.”
As the Chief Technology Officer for Aquilent, Mark Pietrasanta’s responsibilities include leading the company’s technology vision, as well as its myriad staff of technologists, as they deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to the federal government.  In addition, Pietrasanta has led Aquilent’s involvement in developing its Technology Strategy Solution, which incorporates how Aquilent can assist federal agencies with their Cloud Computing strategies. He also took the lead in Aquilent’s role with GSA’s Office of Citizen Services (OCS) and USA.gov.  Pietrasanta established the OCS Cloud Computing vision very early on, built a roadmap to achieve that vision, and worked across OCS to help the team appreciate and understand the benefits, ultimately working with them to implement the solution.
“Aquilent congratulates all the Federal 100 Winners including Aquilent CTO Mark Pietrasanta,” stated Aquilent CEO David Fout. “This award showcases Aquilent’s continuing dedication to helping the government realize President Obama’s call for a more open and connected government.”
Winners of the Federal 100 Award will be profiled in the March 22 issue of Federal Computer Week and will be honored at a dinner ceremony on March 22 in Washington, D.C.
