Improving Federal Websites: A User Centered Approach

Aquilent Workshop / 4.27.2007 / 9:00 - 1:30
Aquilent Headquarters

Federal Web Managers have growing pressure to improve customer satisfaction, do more with smaller budgets, and communicate more effectively with Agency constituents.

We are pleased to announce our next professional development workshop "Improving Federal Websites: A User Centered Approach" in the multi-part series: "Federal Web Strategies."

Many Federal Websites are challenged with site organization and navigation closely aligned with internal Agency structures rather than the needs of their constituents. The emphasis of this workshop's instruction will be on developing a strategy for web management based upon a proven user centered approach.

Best practices and examples will be based on our experiences on programs like USA.gov, USPS.com and CFTC.gov.

 Topics Covered
  • A User-Centered Design Approach
  • User Research Techniques
  • Re-Design Requirements
  • Website Segmentation and Organization
