Art Schlussel brings over 25 years of IT project management and leadership experience to Aquilent. During the past 10 years he has been a leader in the ECM field working as both an ECM consultant/strategist and an end-user/practitioner. Art’s mission is to advance ECM awareness and preparedness thought leadership to Aquilent staff and our clients. He excels at helping clients ensure business and end-user goals are met by employing efficient content lifecycle processes and content management best practices that results in the creation of highly credible content.

Prior to joining Aquilent, Art he served as Chief Knowledge Officer of the U.S. Army War College, was on the Board of Directors of AIIM International, and led the development of multiple ECM initiatives for a large, global consulting firm.

In these roles he was responsible for a variety of ECM practice areas including strategic panning, program management, and governance; knowledge management; document management; portals and Intranets, imaging; workflow; training; and others.

• Art has worked with customers such as GSA USA.gov, the Army, Booz Allen Hamilton, Washington Gas, Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, Marriott, and Quintiles Pharmaceuticals.

• He holds a B.S. Information Systems Management, the AIIM ECM professional certificate, and is a graduate of the Air Force Senior NCO Academy

• He received the Army Outstanding Civilian Service Award for KM innovation and implementation, the Content Week IBIC Intranet Award for excellence in Intranet development and implementation, and a corporate team appreciation awards for document management deployment and adoption.

• Art frequently speaks on ECM topics.
