LAUREL, MD, July 12, 2006– Aquilent, Inc. announced today the award of a task order from Radio Free Asia (RFA) to provide web site analysis and redesign of RFA.org.

Radio Free Asia is a private, nonprofit corporation that broadcasts news and information in nine native Asian languages to listeners who do not have access to full and free news media. RFA’s mission is to broadcast Asian domestic news and information to listeners in Asia who do not have access to full and free news media. The purpose of RFA is to deliver accurate and timely news, information, and commentary and to provide a forum for a variety of opinions and voices from within Asian countries. RFA.org adds a global dimension to this objective. RFA operates under the oversight of the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), an independent, autonomous entity responsible for all U.S. government and government sponsored, non-military, international broadcasting.

Aquilent’s project team will be comprised of members of the technical, business, and user experience disciplines. The project will focus on improving RFA’s web presence, improving usability of the website, and providing a consistent customer experience. Aquilent will initially analyze the state of three current RFA Web sites (English, Vietnamese, and Mandarin) and their users, to improve the current sites’ designs based on lessons learned during the analysis phase. Throughout the process, Aquilent’s in-language and in-culture staff will play a key role in all research, design, and usability testing efforts.
