VA's My HealtheVet Program Receives 2007 Excellence.gov Award

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAUREL, MD, February 21, 2007– At the February 20th Excellence.gov Awards Program, the VA's My HealtheVet program received one of the five awards.  Excellence.gov is an annual award to recognize and help expand results-oriented electronic government. 

The 2007 award focused on leveraging technology to enhance collaboration.   Out of 115 nominations from across government, 20 are selected as finalists.  From these finalists, the top five are awarded the Excellence.gov award.  

My HealtheVet (MHV) was recognized as a Web-based application which provides an online environment for veterans, their family, and health practitioners to collaborate on veterans' health care.
