Aquilent Helps U. S. Postal Service Provide Quality Services Via the Internet with

Online Carrier Pickup Feature

                                                         FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAUREL, MD, January 6, 2005 - The U.S. Postal Service's Carrier Pickup project, supported by Aquilent, Inc., an IT solutions provider, was recognized recently as one of only seven government projects in the 2004 InfoWorld 100.  Carrier Pickup is a new feature on USPS.com that allows customers to schedule pickups by mail carriers up to 90 days in advance.   Learn more about the benefits of Carrier Pickup at http://usps.com/shipping/carrierpickup.

Each year, InfoWorld magazine recognizes those 100 projects that "stretch beyond the typical, off-the-shelf solution" with "an explicit bias toward multiple technologies used in innovative ways to serve well-defined business goals."   Under contract to USPS, Aquilent provided requirements definition, project management, information architecture, copywriting, visual design, and page authoring to help make the Carrier Pickup project successful.

Since 2000, Aquilent has served as interactive design engineer for USPS.com, the Postal Service's high-traffic, complex, and award-winning public web site.   In June 2004, Nielson/NetRatings ranked USPS.com as the #2 overall most visited web site in the .gov sector.
