 Aquilent Sponsors Web Content Management Clinic / 12.08.2004

Aquilent Senior Creative Consultant Don Bruns was a panelist at the Digital Government Institute's Web Content Management Clinic sponsored by Aquilent and other content management solution (CMS) vendors. The seminar brings together educators and expert CMS implementers to teach about federal agency web content management issues.

Along with industry-renowned Tony Byrne, Mr. Bruns offered candid answers to participant questions during the "60 Seconds with a CMS Vendor" session. Mr. Bruns also authored Aquilent white paperContent Analysis for a Successful CMS Implementation, a featured seminar publication. The paper includes steps for a successful CMS analysis, tools for analyzing content, and other helpful tips.

 Aquilent Presents Toxmap At Apha 2004 Annual Meeting / 11.08.2004

Aquilent joined the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to present a poster session on TOXMAP: Mapping a Path to Environmental Health Information at the American Public Health Association (APHA) 2004 annual meeting. The annual meeting focuses on improving access to information.

TOXMAP is a web-based mapping resource developed by the NLM's Division of Specialized Information Services and supported by Aquilent. Session participants learned how TOXMAP can help public health professionals provide accurate, relevant information about chemicals and chemical facility releases.

The U.S. Postal Service, supported by Aquilent, Inc. ranked as the number one brand among U.S. Government web sites in July according to Nielsen//NetRatings.   In addition, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services ranked as the second largest brand in the same category.

 Aquilent Moderates E-Gov Performance-Based Contracting Session / 06.04.2004

Aquilent Director Peter Fogelsanger moderated the Performance-based Contracting for IT Professionals session at the 2004 E-Gov Government Solutions Forum (GSF) in Washington D.C.   Mr. Fogelsanger led a panel of experts in discussion on the best candidates for performance-based contracting, the agencies managing new programs successfully, the considerations for effective results with a performance-based contract vehicle, how to navigate around impediments, and on new rules and simplified award procedures.

Aquilent Senior Information Architect Dan Brown, formerly with the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA), moderated FEDWEB Spring 2004 session It's Never Too Late to Integrate IA Into an Existing Site, at George Mason University. He led a panel of experts in discussion on the techniques for integrating information architecture best practices into existing Web sites.

 USPS CARRIER PICKUP ONLINE SERVICE LAUNCHED / 02.02.2004

The United States Postal Service (USPS) launched Carrier Pickup, a program designed to serve USPS customers more completely and conveniently. Aquilent led the development and implementation of the free online service.

 USPS.COM VERSION 2.7 2004 EXCELLENCE.GOV AWARD FINALIST / 01.05.2004
The Industry Advisory Council, the Federal CIO Council, and the E-Gov Institute recognized USPS.com Version 2.7 as a top 25 finalist for a 2004 Excellence.Gov Award.   The award is based on building upon the theme of President's Management Agenda to "simply and unify."  Aquilent led the development and deployment of Version 2.7 of USPS.com.
 AQUILENT DEPLOYS DOL WEB-BASED ACQUISITION SYSTEM / 10.01.2003

Aquilent is piloting a Web-based acquisition system for the U. S. Department of Labor (DOL).  Aquilent provided the professional information technology services and project management to integrate the complete Web-based solution for requisition processing, simplified acquisitions, and complex contracting.

The United States Postal Service and the Department of Health and Human Services, both supported by Aquilent, were each recently honored with receipt of E-Gov 2003 Government Solutions Center Awards.   USPS.com was awarded one of ten Explorer Awards.   HHS.gov was awarded a Trailblazer Award.
 NATIONAL PARK SERVICE TESTS AQUILENT-DESIGNED NEPA COMPLIANCE SYSTEM / 06.03.2003
Aquilent recently delivered the Web-based Planning, Environment, and Public Comment (PEPC) system to the National Park Service.  The system is designed to facilitate conservation planning, environmental impact analysis, and informed decision making in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
 AQUILENT WINS $10 MILLION AGREEMENT TO IMPLEMENT DOL  ACQUISITION SYSTEM / 02.24.2003
Aquilent has been awarded a three-year, $10 million agreement to provide a Web-based acquisition system to the United States Department of Labor (DOL).   Aquilent will provide the professional IT services and project management to develop and integrate a complete Web-based acquisition solution.   Under this agreement, Aquilent was recently issued a $4 million task order to implement a pilot acquisition system for four DOL agencies.
